Here’s a little peak into my sketchbooks from July! If you read my monthly newsletter, you already know that I spent July slowing down a bit. Getting up a little later, enjoying the summer weather, doing lots of planning, working mostly on personal projects and drawing things in my sketchbooks, just for fun! It was so nice. I also started uploading weekly Sketchbook Time videos to my YT channel again. How has your summer been so far? (Or your winter, if you’re on the other side of the globe?).
I’ve always loved spring, it makes me so happy and excited! From the first blossoming trees to the moment when all the leaves seem to pop out all at once and suddenly everything is lush and green. The sound of the breeze in treetops. Even though it happens every year, it feel like a miracle every single time. Nature is a huge inspiration to me, so today I’m sharing some photos I took while I visited Germany in May. The light was incredible and I went on many happy walks and taking some pictures to remember these moments. What inspires you?
Hello & welcome! I’ve had my old blog since June 2006, when my first editorial illustration was published in a magazine. Now it’s June 2019, and needless to say the internet is completely different. Over the past few years, my blog posts have been sparse, mostly because takes more effort and thought to put together a blog post than to post something on social media. Posting a single image doesn’t seem to justify a post anymore but at the same time, a blog is still the perfect space to post something a little more substantial.
I’ve been wanting to blog again for a while and share more about my inspirations, behind the scenes and other snippets. Lately I realised that the one thing that is stopping me, is that I don’t enjoy how Blogspot looks and feels. I’ve been loyal to my little old blog for thirteen years but it isn’t working for me anymore. So I finally made the decision to move here, to this fresh and lovely new blog! Wohoo! Let this new era begin.
